Post by: belleaudb on May 06, 2019, 12:25:05 PM
Nice and clean! Still looks good for a car that will be 28 years old in 5 months.

Those wheels are the SEX. Such a clean example. Thought about replacing those old rubber brake lines with Stainless Steel? I just got thru doing mine and the pedal is so much firmer. They would look great behind those wheels.

I had seen your post regarding the Safebrake hoses. Did a little research and finally ordered them. I wanted to replace all the rubber hoses once I got the big brake upgrade done. I replaced the front hoses back in 2007 and the rears are original.

Will post pics once done.

Skunk where did you get those struts?

I sourced them off Ebay. They are NOS Tokico HP's (commonly known as "Blues") They are for the 2WD BF Mazda 323 and bolt right on. I set up a search for them on Ebay and these turned up there.

Those wheels are the last word for me. Simple and elegant. Were those an OEM option in OZ?? I am sourcing some SVT wheels for a similar look that I plan on painting black and polishing the lips. In any case. Car looks great and well sorted to boot. Enjoy the sunshine.

The wheels are Primax 925 which I purchased in 2008. They have been out of production for 10 years. I don't know of any wheels that are similar.

17x7 with 42mm offset. Tires are 205 40 17

No suspension modifications to allow fit.

Cool. I have a great idea for something similar using the 16 inch X 6.5 SVT Wheels from the Ford Contour.

belleaudb, she is looking mighty fine. Could not run wheels like that here in PA, they'd be bent & broken in an afternoon. Have had to hammer out two of the steelies on my hyundai this year already.

Hmm, don't the Contours use a weird bolt pattern?
Looks like it is 4x108

It is. Yes. But the offset is like +49 and so a 15-25mm hubcentric adapter will take care of that in short order. I've already rolled the fenders in preparation for them. They also are DIRT cheap and relatively lightweight.
Looks like it is 4x108
