Title: Headlight motors don't like each other
Post by: Gaz on May 15, 2017, 08:34:47 PM
So stop me if you've heard this one.

I just replaced my driver side headlight motor with one for my parts car, from the passenger side. Would this explain why if I manually raise both headlights to the up position and then toggle the switch, One Headlight will go down, and the other we'll stay raised. If I disengage the switch at that point then they will alternate, where is the driver side would stay up and the past your side would stay down and so on and so forth. What the actual hell do I do about this?

Select switch to raise the headlights, disconnect linkage from the motor that is down and rotate it 180 degrees into the up position, reconnect... you just didn't reconnect it properly...

I did that too, on both sides, twice. I just ended up taking apart the original and cleaning it up.

Moreover, if the motors are interchangeable, how did this happen?
