Title: side tension cable for soft top

Hi all, I had finally saved money to buy a soft top for my capri.  Like always, when I buy something for it something else breaks in the process..oh well.  Anyway, I am looking for replacement side tension cable for the soft top.  It looks basic to replace except for the ends.   Most places on line want about $60 for the set...kind of expensive. It looks like I can construct something as long as I can purchase the right fitting ends from somewhere. Has anyone constructed their own cables?

I haven't been that adventurous.  I purchased a complete set, last year for approx. $80.  I even spent money to have my top installed.
