about a month ago i managed to find a 91 capri xr2 with only 24k miles on it and not a spot of rust. i didn't know much about the car and just went on a whim to get it knowing that the engine was reliable enough to go for it. in the week that the weather was still good enough to drive and not risk getting road salt on the car and start rusting it I put about 900 miles on it and fell in love. in my search to find what little info I could I stumbled across this website and found there's actually a community for this car, which amazed me.
anyway if you want to see the car here's a link to a few images: https://imgur.com/a/fepbQIw
the only work it needed was new tires and some suspension, does anyone know a cheaper way to do the rear trail arm bushings other than buying a new one? the only ones I can find are like $150 original ones

Welcome, Very nice Capri!
May want to look into doing the timing belt, if it's original. It's got low miles but is also approaching 30 years old.
You've got a super rare body kit/ground effects package. I don't recall who made it. Looks like the portion for the rear bumper is missing. Love how the front looks though.
You might be able to find original trailing arms at the Mazda dealer, for an 88/89 323 GT. (not GTX)
Rear suspension bits are kind of hard to come by.

Welcome, love the body kit, good luck at getting your work done. They are great little cars. Oh yeah, listen to Rocketman, he knows what he's talking about.

Welcome!
And, a very nice looking ride, especially for Minnesota, eh?
I've learned a lot on this site, thanks to Rocketman, Jack, and others.
Good luck on the repair. As to cost of parts and such, and I'm paraphrasing, value is remembered long after price is forgotten.
Cheers!
Steve

Is this what I'm looking for?

Also wondering about the rocket tune. Is there a post with general info on it. Or could you pm me the deets on how all that works rocket man? Would be greatly appreciated

Whiteline performance sells poly bushings for the rear arms. That's the only ones I could find without replacing the arms.

Contact Rocketman, see above.
