Well the deal finally went through today. I found this 95 Talon AWD TSI on CL a few weeks ago. He lived close so I took a peek. I fell in love. Not fond of the color but the body is perfect and the engine is 100% all stock. Everything on the engine was just replaced. New everything.Amazing. He had his insurance company do it all somehow. Shortly after he got it back the Diff went out on it..So thats all I got to fix to get her moving. Starts right up and purrs like new...Interior is in good shape.
I traded him my son's 95 Mercury Cougar straight up. I paid 800 for his car..Just got it home. This weekend I will clean her up and get some better shots..

Ha Ha...Once I find a 97+ Talon bumper i will get it painted back to black..the original color.

Got the title in my name today..So glad it came up clean...
Thinking I will work on the Exterior first since it is so damn ugly green...
Gonna pick up a different front bumper and some aftermarket fenders then get it painted.
My friend came over today and looked at the tranny/diff... He is gonna hook me up and rebuild them for me for like 2-300 bucks. I just got to pull it and he will help with the install....

I like the color. Paint the hood green so it matches the car. This way, you don't confuse your car with the other 100,000,000 black cars on the road today.

I really want to paint it the Caddy Pearl White...It may be the final choice I go with. The engine bay is painted Black. That would work with the White exterior. I am a big fan of Pearl White...

I got this brand new for $150, 3 hr drive and worth it...I am also buying his 98 Eclipse GSX with Auto tranny next month from him for $1,000. The axel broke and he is tired of having to always work on it..LOL
so that will be 2 AWD Turbo DSM's for me with a total of $1800 invested..Priceless!
The Talon is going to be the play toy and the GSX with be the daily. Had to be automatic so wife can use it on the weekends when she works..I need the Denali to carry the monsters.

Hell no...with the tax return I am getting the engine bay shaved, a wire tuck and the whole car will be repainted back to the factory black. I am going to shave the doors and the antenna. he quoted me about 2K for it all. car will be gone for about 6 weeks.

I mean, it's no, "Fast and Furious" Greeeen but it's still pretty.
2K sounds like a good deal to do all the necessary bodywork for shaved handles and a black paint job.
Maybe a little green stripe someplace ? For old times sakes ?

I am not claiming one bit of that green. I had a vision when I got it.....I plan to invest about 4K when it is all done. I will be able to sell it for 10K at least. It will be about a 5K profit

Well we are buying a house so all my plans have been put on hold for a while for the green beast. Engine and tranny are pulled. I am going to do the wire tuck once we get moved. I also grabbed my new daily driver. 98 Eclipse GSX with Automatic. I got it from the guy who sold me the CF Hatch. So I ended up getting the hatch and car for a total of $1100...Smoking deal. The ball joint and axel snapped on it. I need to swap those parts out before I can drive it. Bone stock except for an Injen Intake, lowered and drilled rotors. Real clean and only 105K miles

2 actually, I have one that i done a lot of work on it for this older guy. but he had a stroke a few months ago and thinks he has to sell it. thats the silver one. the red one is here so i can swap out the head on it..gonna do that next week i think. my leg is getting better and can stand the pressure now

I brought the Eclipse home at the beginning of March I think. I sold my Capri's or parted them out..HA HA
The red one was a car that I did a engine swap on for a guy. Started out doing a head on it but when I pulled the head 2 of the pistons were full of oil. So we sourced a engine & I swapped out the whole thing for him.
I will still work on them & who knows maybe own one haha

And if you look hard enough there was a silver one there too...I had that one for almost 1 year at my house, I always did work on it for a older guy, but he had a stroke & could not drive it so i stored it for him. Eventually he sold it. I was his personal mechanic for it..haha

Sold my OEM Rims with 2 bad tires for $300 & picked up these with good tires for $400. Even better i found him on craigslist & he lived around the corner..Ha Ha..

So I had my "project" 95 Talon TSI AWD & i decided to part it out and do something different. So this guy wanted to trade me for a running 280ZX Turbo. I figured what the hell, I can see it easy or trade for a truck or something....Seats & dash trashed but the engine was clean and strong. body in great shape too...

So then within 24hrs..i found a heavily modded 95 Eclipse GST with starting issues. I went from a never ending project to a running car to a monster of a daily once i get it running. Pretty sure i know what the problem is. I plan on putting this back to stock and then putting the parts on the 98 GSX & sell the rest...Damn I am lucky

Turbo alone is 1200, it is a hot mess wiring wise, but i can figure that out and get her running..Going to be my daily so i can mod the shit out of the GSX, i live down the road from the track so i want to have some fun there
