Title: IT LIVES!!!!!!
Post by: CapriTypeR on June 12, 2009, 04:21:00 PM
After 4 years off the road (except for a short 2 week period last year in which the motor was blown) The Roo-Sport 92 XR2 (the "Super-Roo") is finally moving under it's own power!!

Click here to see a short (and boring) video! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B78Y4-De05I)

Looks like it will finally make it to the MACG!!

Gus-
Yep, the motor is from the GTX. So far so good. I am getting plates today, so I'll be able to run her a little harder than what I can in my neighborhood.

Josh-
The wing was almost $600, shipped from AU. It then cost another $200 to repair, as they did not pack it well, and it was damaged in shipping.

I finally got the racing seats installed in the "Super-Roo"! Now, I only have 999,999 things left to do before it's ready for the MACG!
As soon as I find my camera, I'll post some photos. In the meantime here is a shot of the passenger side:

Now, they come right back out, so I can dye the carpet.

Only 3 weeks left 'till the meet............        ;)

Red, black, and red carbon. I'm sure it WILL NOT be finished by the meet(I have 2 other cars to get ready, as well), but hopefully, I'll be able to a bunch of it done.

i going a similar route. i want to either change everything gray to black with red and carbon trims

or

get some carbon fiber looking vinyl and refinish all the parts with that.

i just decided to do the bubble cover black with the black wall i built and the black seats. i am thinking all black inside with red and carbon with the way i will end up going. i need to try to find a spare dash. so i could paint it then swap it out..removing it and doind it to put back in would be too much time

I paid about $300 shipping included from eBay about 5 years ago.  They have been in storage all this time waiting their turn!
