I have a 93Xr2 that the injecters stay on when
the key is on. car will start but will not stay
running. I will be checking my PCM on a friends
91 Xr2 this weekend. I checked online for PCM
they list 3 which none match my number. my  no.
is B6V8 18 880A nearist match is B6VD 18881-BC
what gives with all the different numbers? can
I hurt my friends capri if our PCM numbers do
not match? thanks for any info.

B6VD will not properly run in a B6V8 application. B6V8 is turbo only, B6VD is N/A only.

Have you looked at your ECU? Is it damaged from the heater core leaking onto it?

I have stock and upgraded computers available if you are interested.

Assuming it is the computer under the center dash board which controls the injectors and everything else that makes the engine run. Unless there are underlying electrical problems I don't think switching out ECU's could hurt another unit. That being said check all grounds to make sure that the connections are good before you start on this endeavor. This is the number one item that leads to this type of problem. Start with the one that is connected to the VAF. Then go around the engine compartment and find all of them make sure there isn’t any corrosion on any of the connections. If all else fails let me know I have a spare but I will need a core to get you one.
