I have an interesting problem. When I originally got my car running, it didn't do this. Since day one, the air bag light has been flashing, fixing that is for another day. After my Capri sits for a few days, when I crank it up, I get a loud beeping. About five beeps and after a few seconds, another five beeps. Drive down the road a mile or so and it starts beeping again and guess what, no air bag light. Okay, now after you cut it off and restart it, the air bag light is now flashing and no beeping. Anyone get any ideas?
Thanks, Jack Byrd

The air bag module will beep codes when the air bag light is not connected or burned out. It's pretty annoying. Sounds like you have a bad connection between the module and the light in the dash.

Interesting, so I get no light and beeping or a flashing light. Gonna have to look up the wiring diagrams and see what I can find. I think it's really kool that we have shop manuals and wiring diagrams available, but both times I looked for something, it wasn't there...oh well.
Thanks, Jack

And what were your findings?

The beeping stopped just as unexpectedly as it started. Still don't know what caused it.
