So I'm rebuilding the engine on my 91 XR2 and all I have left to do is the piston rings and I can't find the end gap length for our motor. I found a thread where someone said they got the end gap "down to spec." Does anyone know the piston ring end gap for our car? Also, is there a vacuum line diagram that I can refer to when bolting everything back up?

Undo the two nuts for the front transmission mount from the underside of the crossmember, then use a jack with a block of wood on the engine oil pan to lift it up by an inch or so.
When you do this, you will roll the engine/tranny backwards giving you way more clearance for removing/installing the slave cylinder. Which can now be done easily from above by reaching down to it. |

hi I am a first-time mechanic and the clutch slave cylinder went bad on my Capri. As it's located in a hard-to-reach location I was wondering if you guys had any tips on getting to it. Thanks

No sorry. You get the threaded sleeve, the big nuts, the coil plates and of course the springs which are sold separately. Go to the Ford Festiva group. That is a common mod on those cars.

Our FB group had some custom made but they are all gone now. Some members have cut up their stock struts, and added a coilover kit but this doesn't give you camber plates. Check Summit Racing for the kits. Any idea what the part number/s for the kit is? |

I’ve got a 1993 Capri xr2 non turbo. I’ve been trying to find some coil overs to replace the stock but I’m unable to find any marketed at the Capri. I’d be ideally looking after some with an adjustable camber caster plate. Does anyone know if there’s are seller for Capri coil overs, or if any other ones are compatible with my model?
Thank you |

Pretty sure I have a spare used one up in the attic from the 1991 I parted out. Im in the process of taking care of my fathers affairs in Texas and wont be back in NY until around the 25th. I'll be in the States around july next year. could you ship them to Arizona? |

127,000 miles and some change. No rust does have a couple dings and could really use a good paint buffing as the red is fairly faded. I have a nice buffer and may do that to. Both bumpers need replacement from paint peel but I have 2 good ones (same color) in attic from the parted car. Drives wonderfully. Alignment perfect, no shakes or shimmies. CEL is on for o2 sensor which I've already purchased. Just had to up and leave for Texas so haven't swapped it yet. I'll get some pics while I'm doing brakes and struts.
