I went with a 13/16" hardened steel drill bit and finished with an arbor to obtain 0.86" and leave enough overlap to handle the 1.02" flap (which wiggles a bit on the Revit it is mounted to). That works really well with my 2.5" cat back system (which had given me issues even when I had the stock turbo). Now, I'm running a vj11/vj14 hybrid turbo on it and never see boost creep. Pretty much any change to the stock exhaust will cause boost creep if you don't enlarge the waste gate throat.

I'm going to be replacing the bad auto trans in my '91 N/A soon. Capris are few and far between where I'm at but there are lots of Escorts and Protege cars in the wreckers here. Assuming none of these are a direct replacement which auto trans would be the least hassle to swap in? I don't plan on modding my engine so hp will be stock.

I do have a manual trans with linkage but no clutch/brake pedal assembly. Anyone know what will interchange on that also?

Sure seems like any boost controller will cause boost creep. I have a dual stage controller that doesn't agree with my un-ported wastegate. I think even if I were to have the stock exhaust on, that wastegate must be just BARELY adequate for these cars.

Replacing the fuel tank. The old one was rust free EXCEPT for the vent tube at the top. Totally rusted away. Ordered a new Dorman brand tank for the 323. Also replacing the fuel pump and strainer since I am in there.

The old tank was super clean inside, no signs of rust or debris.

I'm giving the underbody and inside the frame rails another coat of Fluidfilm, going to do the tank before I install it.
