Title: help a newbie!!!
Post by: WVFish on August 13, 2017, 11:04:29 PM
Recently acquired a 93 Capri with 85,000 miles and in incredible original condition. Very impressed so far. Replaced Both axle shafts, a dragging brake caliper, and some maintenance, and then 2nd drive driver side window regulator goes kaput! No big deal had old cars before, well you know the rest of the story so I found you all. I printed the rebuild instructions so generously shared, cables, stops, bolts, and JB weld I'm figuring good to go. tested it prior to remounting , All Good!! So now its back together and first time window goes in full down position the cables derail. The Pulley was pretty screwed up, dressed it up as much as possible. groove seemed to deep?? Help we have vacation coming fast and a convertible is the only way to do the beach. I'd like to source a new or properly rebuilt Drivers side window reg. my motor seems fine. Thanks in advance. I give 5*s to James Whitt, he's on here  and you can also get him on FB.  He is fast and stands behind his work.  There is a wrecking yard in eastern WV that had three last year, but I can't find the info.  I'll keep looking.
