Anyone know if there is a fuse for the dash lights. The dimmer swt. checks out, but no lights. Any HELP!

hmm, not sure what fuse it is, i'd have to take the cover off my fuse box to see. i would think it would be part of the normal lighting system fuses.

The dash lights are on the same circuit as the parking lights... so if they're out, chances are your tail lights (not blinkers) are out too.
If they are on, probably a wiring problem.

All the fuses are good. I am going to try another light swt., I,am hoping its not the panel lamp module. There is not much room under the dash.

All lights working. I,m realy lost kno!!!!
-
so your dash lights are back?
Wonder if it's the dimmer switch. could have been down, or sometimes they go flakey.
Now you can see how fast you go in the dark!

All the other lights work but still no dash lights. CONFUSED !!! The other post was misleading, sorry.

If the dimmer will work with other lights (like your clock) then the fuse and switch is ok. You may have a bad connection to your instrument panel. The instrument panel rear is like a flexible pc board. There are big connections for the gauges, idiot lights and illumination lights. Either all your bulbs are burnt out (probably not) or the connection to the panel is loose, or the flexible pc board is damaged. Good luck...

Thanks! I will check it out.

I know it's a little late. But i had this same problem, i just about ripped the hair off my head.
There is a black plastic illumination box behind the dashboard cluster- why the manufacture put it there? i don't know. I swear they must have been laughing when they did this, because it was a long process to just change a relay....
I just happen to get lucky and found a capri at the junk yard that had this relay. Changed it and now it works.
