failing to pull-out CEL code, failing at search, i;m a big fail.
can't even get a code from a actron cp9015

can someone point me to the instructions for me to watch the CEL light for the codes?

Go under the hood, on the passenger side firewall there is a one terminal pin, ground that wire, then put the car to the RUN position, but don't start it. It should flash the check engine light.

Remove the ground once you have the codes written down, it might drain the battery if it stays in.

Jumper the diagnostic terminal in the engine bay, flick the key to RUN but don't start it, watch the CEL for codes
