Welcome, came though Colorado Springs a couple of months ago.  If I'd known about that beauty, I'd brought it back to NC with me... :)

1.Name: Aaron http://falcon-whyihatemyin-laws.blogspot.com/
2.Location: Missouri and Kansas depending on the time of the day
3.Why did you buy your Capri/323 and what do you like best about it? It was cheap, fun and gets good gas mileage.
4.If money were no object, what would your dream car be? My first car. A 1969 Dan Gurney Cyclone Spoiler
5.What would you want a Capri to be if they start making it again? (i.e. soft top, retractable hard top, engine, etc.) Retractable. Yea, I'm old.

Jeff
Bowling Green, KY
I bought my Capri because I have always liked oddball, unique cars (fiero, Delorean, bricklin, le baron, solstice, pulsar, svx, conquest, talon, geo storm, 924, exp, Subaru  xt1).  I specifically love the wedge look of them, back seat, turbo, unique, convertible, red, only one at a car show, too young with no money when they were new but could now afford one, good deal - low mileage - auction win surprise on eBay!

I am fortunate to own my dream car, a red 1991 Dodge Stealth RT.

My dream new Capri would be similar to the Lotus Exige x Fiat 124 x Solstice with turbo, a small back seat again, and 300+ horsepower, red with a white interior.

I'm Derek from New England. I just picked up a 91 XR2. I've always wanted one and finally got the opportunity. I've owned fox body mustangs, 1g DSM's, a couple Festiva's, and my daily is a  03 Buck Regal GS with the supercharged 3800 v6. I'm looking forward to modding this XR2. Goals are a little bit more power with excellent handling.

1. Josh
2. Chicago, IL
3. I have a thing for Italian designs, and the Capri hardtop looks like someone squished a Lotus Esprit
4. Lancia Stratos or Autozam AZ-1 with a Hayabusa swap
5. If they make a new one, just make it a small, fun, economical convertible that isn't as lame as the FIAT 500c

Welcome Josh, sounds like you've got the same taste I do.  Love the Italian styling and you're the first person I've run across who loves the Lancia Stratos.  Would love the have one on the replicas for a DD when it rains.

1. John and my wife is Barbara.  I have been a member of the forum for a few years, but never posted or used it a lot until recently.   See why on #3.
2. We are originally from the Harrisburg, Pa area.  We moved to eastern NC in 1996 due to a job transfer.  We are currently in Winterville, NC.
3. I bought a 1994 Magenta Capri NA new for my wife just because she liked it.  I was OK with it, but it was her thing.  Things went pretty smooth with the Capri until 2009.  It starting having some issues, so I parked it in our garage and bought her a Mazda MX5.   The Mazda was totalled when we got sandwiched in Raleigh a few years later.   The Capri just sat in the garage until November, 2017 when I started to mess around and getting it running again.  This forum was a blessing.  That gave me the bug and I went on the search for a 1994 XR2 which I am happy to say, will be parked in my garage in February.  Now I have an obsession....bought a 93 NA for parts before Christmas and a 92 XR2 that runs good, but needs paint.
4. I have always obsessed over Healey 3000's and Jeeps, but never bought a Healy, but had a 1980 Jeep CJ7 for 20 years.  Man I miss that thing.
5. Changes that I would like is V6 and rear wheel drive.  Soft top is great.  I am retired now, so it is all about playing.

I'm Raymond from Long Island N.Y.  I recently discovered these little spitfire of a car.... A friend had one in the 80's. I just acquired my first Capri, a 1991 form an original owner  with 39k miles. She was loved and will continue to be.  I have always liked oddball, unique, unseen cars. I also have a 69 Opel GT, a 2010 BWM M6 , and a 2004 ML 430.
I say a car for each if the seasons.  Glad I found this site.

Welcome Ray, my XR2 came from Long Island to NC.  Loved the drive back thru the city on a Friday afternoon.  When you have a question, ask away, there are a lot of knowledgeable people here.

Bought my Capri because the first new car I ever owned was a 1973 Capri 2600, V6, 4 speed. I loved that car and if I could find one I’d buy it!

Hi Ray
Just returned to this site after many years away. Your post caught my eye with the 69 Opel GT. I worked in the service department of a Buick dealership in the early to mid 70’s we sold and serviced a lot of Opels I loved driving the GT.
