Hello!

My name is Rich. I live in the San Joaquin Valley and work in the San Francisco Bay area. Lots of great top down weather, even in the winter!

Presently driving a white 91 xr2, with 237,000 miles on the original engine. It's my primary commute car, and I add another 3000 miles or so every month. First capri was a non-turbo, traded it away for a minivan. Kids are a little older now, so during my 2nd mid life crisis I bought the xr2 4 years ago.

I love the handling, power and fuel economy (duh!), plus where else can you get stares driving a car that books out for $0, but can beat most everything else on the road off the line? Besides, having a car payment sucks! It's also quite cheap to insure.

Dream car? I'm already driving it. Well, it could use a paint job, but I've spent about $1000 restoring it over the last couple months so now I'll bet it books out a little higher than before.

If the Capri ever comes back, my only wish is that FORD has the courage/committment to stick with the model for a long production run so that future owners don't have to struggle for parts like we do.

Waaaaazaaaaap!!
My Name is ClinT. I Live In New York about 45 min above the city. I love my lil red rocket cause it handles, it accelerates and girls are unexplainably attracted to it.
Coincidentally, today i met a girl with a gray '92 xr2 we putzed around racing on a local main drag and  then pulled ovr to have a 20 min talk with a beauty i have nevr met before, not only that but she might have even gotten me a job.
Yeah so my 91 non-turbo hasnt let me down yet, though i wish it was turbo i didnt have much trouble beating her, idk whether it was becuase she didnt know how to push her car or it was just old  (my car = 50,000 miles    )
Granted the car hadles well i wish it handled better and had a different gear ratio for first and second. Great mileage is also a forte with colleges kids like me and it has alot of room and poential for upgrades , though there arent many places that i have found with extreme aftermarket parts (e.g.- air bag suspension)However i am extremely interested in that v6 engine conversion and would like to know the ins and outs cause im a do it yourslef type of person and would like to know if that project is do-able or if i have to get someone to do it because of the ecu and computer management/programming.
Dream Car(s): if i could only choose one it would be a 2k2 RT/10 Dodge Viper Black, chrome rims, BLue underglow, blue to chrome tinted windows, and an SVS TT RS Twin turbo upgrade giving the car wheelie capability at an estimated 1,700 h.p......and if the engine doesnt detonate, maybe a lil' waft of NOS to the intake manifold's.
My Second and most possible dream car is a 94 RX-7 R1. Engine stripped and a brand new 20B rotary engine installed , twin sequential turbo's and a  courtesy of avonaero.com  Finally a site like this that sells mini jet engine turbines, took me months and to actually build my possible rice rocket (literally) im guessing it will take an estimated 5 years considering i have to conceal the exhaust port for the jet engine by making the whole unit retractable but strong enough to handle the 400lbs. of thrust generated thereby making my soon to be RX-7 technically the fastest around, period.
As Far as changes for a better capri, I would lower it maybe and inch or two possibly, four wheel drive, V6 twin turbo (even if the turbo's have to be in the trunk) an intercooler for obvious reasons a sixspeed tranny and t-tops, with a more hatchbak style rear window, 16 inch borbet rims and an inch of rubber, preferably a more sticky rubber though, the car is so light it needs a higher coefficient of friction. However due to its weight .... or lack there of, im thinking it can get pretty close to a high end performance car.

I'm Andy and I live in Berwick, Pennsylvania.  I'm 16 and my red 91 capri is my first car.  A friend of ours was selling his old capri so at the time, I thought it would be the best deal on a car.  Now, I love to drive it with the top down on the warmer days.  My dream car would probably be a Lambourghini or some kind of awesome, fast car.  I also like Cadillac Escalades.  If a new capri came out I'd like to see it have a little more power, automatic retractable top, and maybe a little bit more room in the back seat.

Hi neer here and to the capri i have a 1992 was looking for the car a few months then the dealer went out of business i got the car for 700 seaside heights nj by the sea!!
I found a lot of bad things about the car on the net and im not wild about the looks of the car but it is growing on me fast!!
so far easy to work on , i love the fresh / heated air vent.
I would like power locks, wood accent dash and leather interior and a canvas top with glass rear window.
dream car? not sure busy with this car now

Oh yeah almost forgot!

I got the Capri because I like the look's and it reminds me of my first Fiero(2.5 one) slow but still a blast to drive. The looks reminds me so much of the Lotus that I truely love, The motor feel somewhat like the Storm Gsi my sister had but with a little less power, and my Sunbird Convertible was ready to retire.

My dream car is sorta weird, I would so love to have another infiniti M30 90-92 the only years they was made of course) ONLY a hard top tho as the convertibles look too much like a Celica/Nissan 240 Conv. cross

I wish they would make the capri again with a mid motor design (but must keep the back seat shelf area for items to be placed)with at least a 1.8 and a turbo at the smallest motor and a v-6 as a add on if you wanted more power with the hard top as standard item! Dont use left over looking items like the sable looking steering wheel, something totaly fresh and new to the eye, well besides motor and basic stuff like that. AWD would be good if it was a fWD also.
