I’m afraid I was actually referring to you Mr. Dave, and just put “or more” part after that to be less pointed. The horrifying part is that your only about 500 miles from my home. MY HOME! Yesterday I bought a can of mace just to be on the safe side.

My name is Danny. Im in the Bay area, CA. Ive got two 323s. My first is an 86' dx pullin mad 85hp to the front wheels. Only perfomance mod is k&n cone intake. my sleeper is my 88' gt. It has 260hp to the wheels. Mods are everything. If I want more power, Ill need bigger injectors, different distributor, and a 323 gtr ecu, hopefully then ill be pulling over 320 hp to the wheels.

I think the capri is a cool little car, only noticable by people after they get dusted by the xr-2. Stupid ricers...

I have not. The previous owner, had taken it to the strips and his best 1/4 mile time was a mid 12 seconds with a correct launch. It is very hard to get a good launch, you must feather the throttle in first through second to avoid whelspin. I can smoke the tires going 50 mph in second gear by just pressing down the throttle. Extremely fun car though. Looks like a normal 323 except for the j-spec bumper and huge m2 intercooler in the front.

Wow, 12’s are definitely hard to get into with a FWD. With all the money I sunk into Monte number one I was hardly any faster than that. And as for the Capri, I simply wouldn't think of taking to the strip since I don't want to completly embarass myself. Just goes to show what power to weight ratio’s can do though. Now if you ever decide to get rid of that GT definitely let me know  ;)

1:Bob Barrans
2:Juneau, Alaska
3:Becuase I needed a car for a date(Don't ask)... And my best friend was willing to sell it to me for 1200 bucks and only 200 down...  1200 bucks for a convertible that had no scratches and a hardtop and paint still looked brand new was a deal i couldn't just pass up.

1.Russ And Diana
2.Island Lake, IL
3.We are currently on our fourth Capri.  The first one we bought 4-5 years ago, a black '93 w/ a hardtop, for everyday transportation.  Ended up trading that for a '97 Dodge Ram.  The 2 current Capri's both came of off EBAY.  The first of these, is a '91 Modified, 108,000 mile rice eater!  This is my daily driver, and I plan to get 250+ horses out of the bad boy(Check out pictures at Yahoo Groups Capri site, under "Russ & Di's Modified" file)The second, we just bought last weekend- a '91 XR2 w/32,500 miles! Perfect condition, and includes a hard top!  This one is getting stored for future collectability!  The fourth Capri we owned, was a beat 91 XR2, we bought for parts.  Capri's are easily one of the better handling, better looking        cars around-even if they are up to 13 model years old! And the fact that they can get 35+ MPG, and have a rag top, is just a real big bonus!!
4.Anything Ferrari!!
5. Turbo 6 cyl., 6-speed trans, 2+2 seating (for cheaper insurance), retractable hard top, unique design, and FOR SURE, named Capri!!

1.) Elisa and Matt, from Atlantic City, NJ

2.) We own a 91 Capri XR2 that we bought a little less than a month ago, but are selling already...not willing to get involved with a car with such expensive parts and limited supply, and main suppliers trying to charge $189 for a USED carpet.     So now we are stuck trying to sell a 77K mile XR2 with hardtop...the car is wonderful and so fun to drive, but with 2 cars that we already enjoy buying parts for (and are spoiled by a large, inexpensive aftermarket), there just isn't room for the Capri in our lives right now.

3.) Dream Car? Hard question...I'm one of those pack rat types that likes so many different cars that I have to be patient enough so I can buy them all   :D   We already have 2...my 94 GT and Matt's 88 5.0 coupe, so I guess we're well on our way

4.) Turbo, more curves, and retractable hardtop.

1.  Terry
2.  Canberra, Australia
3.  I had to sell my BMW Motorbike (couldn't fit the wife and 2 kids on the back!) so the Capri was the next best option in the price range!  Great fun!
4.  BMW M3 (preferably a convertible but they didn't make many of those)
5.  Not interested unless it is convertible.

I'm Josh from Dallas, Texas

I bought my '92 Capri about a month ago, because I was looking for a drivable car with good gas mileage so I could fix up my '97 Ford Thunderbird.  Also, was looking for a car under $1000.  After looking at a rusted out '86 Escort, and a wrecked '94 Corsica, I saw Misti (the car) sitting in the back of a high end used car alot, so I said to my girlfriend "I know I can't afford it, but I always wanted one since I first one".  I offered the guy $900, he took $1000, then I spent 2 hours making it driveable enough to get across town (Yeah, I bought it without even test driving it.)  Had to replaced the alternator belt/water pump belt to get it to start (yeah, it disintegrated as the last person drove it in, strips of belt were still hanging from underneath)  Got halfway home and noticed there was no water, and a 6 inch crack in the top of the radiator - stopped and filled it with tap water to get it home.  Fixed the radiator, rebuilt the headlamp motor, fixed the windshield wipers, replaced the valve-cover gasket, changed the oil, buffed the heck out of it, and it's a great car, I'm having a blast with it.  You know how you buy a car, any car, and you noticed that everyone else has one?  Since I've bought my Capri, I've only seen two, and being Dallas with a high population density, that's remarkable.

It's hard to narrow down to one dream car.  If I absolutely HAD too, I'd go with the new model Thunderbird, in that Graphite metallic color, but I'd ditch the regular v8 and put in the DOHC 4.6 from the Cobra Mustang, and a supercharger.  Yeah, I could probably live with that and be happy.

Or a Capri with a 4G20T Turbo Eclipse engine.

1. John Case
2. Hillsborough, NJ
3. My wife bought a new '91 XR2 and traded it in '94 after a major engine failure (@ 85k) - I was recently looking for a rag top weekend car (as a 4th car!) and didn't want to spend a lot.  Came acress an XR2 for sale in the area and already knew how much fun they are.
4. BMW, Porche or Mercedes ragtop.
5. Reliable, inexpensive to purchase and maintain, and about 50 more hp.  :D
