It’s been a while since I’ve seen this question so here it is.
1.Name
2.Location
3.Why did you buy your Capri/323 and what do you like best about it?
4.If money were no object, what would your dream car be?
5.What would you want a Capri to be if they start making it again? (i.e. soft top, retractable hard top, engine, etc.)

I'm boB, and I am a Capriaholic.  I'm from Illinois, Freeport to be exact.  I bought my Capri  for the same reason I like it.  THE TOP GOES DOWN !!!!  If I had an unlimited budget for a new car, I would design my own.  I have a few ideas, and certain aspects of the Capri would be integrated.  As for new Capri's, I am sorry, but the Capri is such a sissy name, I dont think they will come out with another one.

Name's MacK (short for McKinze) live in Phoenix, AZ but I am from a small Oregon Coast town called Toledo. I bought my Capri cause I thought it was an ugly ass car but had some down right potential! heheheheh

Dream car? I don't have one... I fucking hate cars!

Dream Capri? 3.8L V6 Twin Turbo mated to a Six-speed. Short wheel base with two piece top (think removable t-top)

I figure I might as well answer my own question, so:
1.Seth
2.Evergreen Montana
3.I bought the Capri cause a wanted a dependable car that was good on gas as a backup while I fixed up the Monte. The fact that it’s a convertible was just a great bonus.
4.My dream car is a Ferrari 550 Maranello (not the 575 cause I don’t like the paddle shift)
5.I think the Capri name is a little sissy too. But a Capri with different name but the same idea would be sweet (sorta like the change from the Lumina to the Impala, basically the same car, but new body and name). I would want a retractable hardtop like the Lexus SC430, and definitely a DOHC twin turbo V6 like the Mitsubishi GT3000. Maybe even a 4WD option.

Anthony

Baltimore, Maryland (Give it up MD   )

I bought my capri to compete with. I wanted a car not seen often and not even tried for show use. I wanted to create a car of my own have it convertiable and that was special. The name capri doesnt bother me as it has a history of more then 40 years and most car models cant say that.

My dream car was always a firebird. If I had to choose a year for a stock model it would be a 1969 Dual RamAir with the 350ci block. MMMM 325+ horses   .

Thank god, someone else who likes GM’s too. You just can’t beat those small blocks for weight and power output.

Jesus
My dad bought me my first new car when I was a senior in HS-
a 1969 350 firebird, orange with a black vinyl top.
I remember it was the first orange car I ever saw anywhere.

In 1971 daddy bought me a brand new muscle car, a dodge challenger, blue with a white inside, white vinyl top and a sunroof.
That was my personal favorite.

In 1977 daddy bought me a new chrysler cordoba, with the exact same color scheme as the challenger. It too had the sun roof.
My second favorite car.

In 92 I bought my first capri, in 94 I bought black beauty, and in 2002 I bought the other 2 capris. So I've owned 4 of em. What a wacko.

I'm from Bklyn, NY live in south florida, married to a beauty from texas and I'm startin to be livin large.

Life is good.

Im Artur and i live in Macau, a place near Hong Kong. I buy my Capri because its a cheap car and its a convertible, but now i really love it and want to keep it for a long time. I spent a lot of money on it already but its really cool now with the Clubsprint Kit and in Yellow
My dream car would be a new Benz SLK hehehe
I think for a new Capri, it should have some more futuristic design, keep the retractable lighs, have a powerfull engine and rear wheel drive

Dave

From Burlington Washington

I bought my Capri because I was looking at convertibles, after looking at several Mustangs I thought geesh mustang convertibles are a dime a dozen then I saw the Capri and after looking them up on the net I desided on a 94 Reef Green Xr2 and after a bit of a search I found just what I was lookng for

As for a dream car I would like something like a 442 convertible or a challenger convertible.

what I would like to see in a capri..make it a rear wheel drive with a v-6 I like the front end but maybe restyle the rear and add a slightly bolder bumper on the rear

Name? Bruce
Location? Midwest

Why? It's a convertable, it's not common, it was a good deal.

Dream Car? I'll sleep on it and get back to you on that...

re-Capri? retractable hardtop sounds cool... 100mpg, 350mph, reliable, ? ?holographic paint scheme? I dunno... somethin' unique...

2. South Carolina
3. Single man driving around in a mini-van wasnt working for me anymore, went looking for a convertable and fell in love with the look of the Capri.
4. (this ill probaly get a few laughs from) Dream car is a DeLorean. I love cars that are very different. It seems all the makes and modles today are from the same mold.
