Just a few pics of my first real cruise of the season. The wife and I took off and explored some roads along the Mississippi. Couldn't really get too close because of muddy roads, but it was a beautiful day and I just couldn't wait to get the top down and enjoy the weather!

Nice car and companion (i.e. Melissa)! As that weather moves north, maybe we can put some more cruises together...

Very jealous. Looked like a beautiful time, hopefully I will be able to take mine out some time soon for her cruise.

Yep, it was a nice ride. Great weather and great views.
Mark, just let me know when you want to try to get together again and I'm there!

I've had both of my cars out for short hops, but I'd like to get to Southern Illinois. Maybe a cruise down Rt 3 to Chester for some Popeye stuff and lunch. I just need a few more weeks to get some stuff done around here.

I like that idea! I drive to Carbondale once a month for Guard duty and have been wanting to take the wife down that way also. Chester is a neat place to do lunch. Let me know when you have time and we'll put something together.

I go hunting in Ava every year it's beautiful down there.
My wife and I have done the Mississippi River Rd from Galena to the tip and back along the Ohio River to the Indiana border. We also did the Illinois River road to the Brussels Ferry. That was the first time she was ever on a Ferry. We stayed at a B&B in Chester that year called the Stone House. If you get down there it's cheaper than a motel and a lot nicer. I sat on the front porch looking over the Mississippi smoking a Cuban with a bottle of Bourbon. Great time.
There is a nice ride in Southern Indiana I want to hit some time I just have to find it again. It winds through the forest. It would be great in a Capri.
