i hear ya ... i just had a guy almost scam me but im not an idiot ... guy wanted to buy something said can i send check ... "send me a postal money order" guy said i already sent the check and my "secretary" accidentally wrote it for 2500 and sent it ... please cash it and send me back the difference ...... OK !!!

find him a AWD automatic and things will hold together A LOT longer. plus those auto's are a hell of a lot stronger than the standards on these cars.

he really wants an eclipse, but each one we look at is trashed. i told him we can finish up his car enough to sell it and buy one a lot easier then trading. we have seen about 5 cars so far and all of them a lot worse off then ours

there are none local, i been looking for that as well...

u know hyndai had the 4g63 in them back then and a lot of people were swapping out the turbos with them

what price range are you looking to spend? I found a cleaaaaaaaan  97 TSI AWD automatic  fully loaded with only 113k miles for sale locally. Guy was asking $5500 and now a month later he went down to $3500. Only issue is some clear coat peeling which is common on most DSM's.

You could also try and find him a Isuzu Impulse RS which is turbo AWD or a 89 Isuzu i-mark RS which are really fun to drive. Just ask Rocket

Nothing wrong with Hyundais!!! We have had 2 - an Accent when they first came out, and we now have a Santa Fe.  Extremly dependable, great gas milage, fantastic warranty (10 year/100000 mile Bumper-to-bumper). We have NEVER had an issue with them, and would recommend them to anyone. My Mother even bought a Santa Fe after seeing and riding in ours, and she loves hers as well.

i been looking at the Isuzu, there was a storm we almost traded for but the engine was the 92hp one. looked good and have a body kit.

there are no RS here.

we should be able to sell his corolla for about 2000-2500 we hope, get something for about 1500 and use the rest to make it road worthy/pimp status....

i need to finish sanding and primer the corolla, replace the drivers outside door handle and interior handles and it will be ready for sale.

its funny we was looking at 2 turbo dodge daytonas driving all over arizona and went past this one and saw it in the yard. stopped son liked it...called the guy and he showed up later after we looked at the other cars. its near perfect condition. he was asking 1250 on the window not the 1450 from craigslist. drove the car and drives great. interior is super clean for a 82. has like 3 minor things to fix. offered 900 he countered with 1100....told him i only had 1000 in my pocket right now and i like 30 mins away in one direction......boom deal done. but now my son has to learn to drive a stick...he wanted it..LOL i will post pics once i have time

Hey Gost!  Good Luck! You can make that car into a screamer. One of my poker buddies has one. With several minor mods he's able to pull mid 13s. He's got more inches than we have. A good exhaust and boost controller will get it started.  Gus

if he has a turbo then he swapped it or has the MK3, the MK2 we NA...but it has good power. already has intake, exhaust and short shifter. passed emissions but failed the fuel pressure test. the filler neck is all chewed up..so pretty happy so far
