Speedometer reads low
« on: March 26, 2009, 02:24:00 PM »

At 60 mph (indicated by speedo) I am actually going 64-65 mph. Pretty big error. Anyone else have this problem? Tires are stock size. All I can think of is someone at some point put a different speedo gear in or the gauge itself has a poor calibration.

The upside is that I have been getting better gas mileage than I thought. Today I filled up, went an indicated 237.3 miles on 7.23 gallons. Multiplying the mileage by 1.075 to correct it gives me 255.1 miles. Divide that by the gallons and I got 35.3 mpg. Not bad for still having bad rear wheel bearings.

Im usually in fifth by 30. The sooner you get to fifth the better. With our steep gearing and small turbos we can easily pull from under 1500 rpm. I can cruise fifth gear at 25 or even 20 mph.

Magicmini-
Welcome to the forum!

Your hardtop will fit as well on your 92 as it did on the 94!

Enjoy!

is that true? i thought the 93 and 94s where like 1 inch longer at the top where the window is. so that there is a gap from front to back where the top touches the front window.

A hardtop will fit 91-94. I have a 91 hardtop on a 94 at this time and have had it on a 93 before this one. I had planned to take it off this weekend but the forecast is for 2-5 inches of snow tonight
