how do you refill the transaxle? i am changing the CV Axel on my sons corolla...(never done it before..its fun) well while it was out my son thought it would be cool to start the car..well fluid went all over. so now i will need to fill it back up after i put the axle back in. its FWD and automatic.

does it share the same fluid with the autotranny or is there 2 different fill ports? thanks

Nearly all of the A/T's either RWD or FWD fill thru the dipstick tube with a funnel. I'm not familiar with the Corolla's but I'd bet its the same. If your car doesn't have a dipstick tube, somteimes you can fill it via the speedo cable insert. A trip to the local Autozone might be beneficial if you find a Haynes manual open in the rack.Good luck.

Hey Dipstick! Answer is: I don't know of a car that has common fluid sumps, but check a manual. This is a Capri forum.  Gus

LOL i was not calling him a dipstick..but answering his questions....it fills through the dipstick. thats what i ment by that. everything i seen on the damn car online just says to fill it. i never owended autos before so my caddy and corolla are the first.

i have looked all over it and can not see where to fill it at the transaxle so i am asking if it shares the fluid with the auto tranny.
