Turbo and Electric out on Grand Ave. and around 23rd Ave charges that and goes through it nicely. Mats Fransen is the guy you want to talk to. I take him all my turbos....and if there is a problem with the core he will tell you instead of just doing it anyway and sending you home with a sub-standard unit.

i will keep that in mind when i do my 16G swap. i would love to rebuild it before installing it. if i get the turbo cheap enough it would be a good product for a couple hundred invested.

gotcha, gotcha....
well, the awesome thing about mitsu turbos is that wether its a 13c-14b-16g-big16g-or a 20g as long as its a TD05H.. (TD04H is about the size of the vj turbos hotside, and a TD06H is about the equivelent to a t-4 )
as long as its a TD05H housing on the hotside,
all the above mentioned use the same hotside, hotside wheel, and center section... so they are plentiful as all get out... a rebuild kit for a 14b-16g-supr16g-20g turbo on ebay right now is about 40.00-60.00 and thares lots to choose from...

rebuilding a turbo is not very hard...
and as long as the parts are good,(no sense in rebuilding junk, like clay said)
is relatively cheap to do...

all a turbo rebuild kit comes with is, new seals and o rings and gaskets...

here ill show ya--

thats all there is to it...   .Joe...RCI...

shipping will be 150.00
they are brand new and covered in cosmaline...

use w-d 40 to remove the cosmaline...

you can use all your b6t parts except the oil and water lines.. for oil i put a tee below the oil pressure sender and ran it arround the tranny side of the head... i dont run coolant lines on my big turbo.. but you can re route it for the turbo and draw from the head if you want water cooled....

i highly recommend theese..

i got with 2 car buds and went to town ...we had a blast and so will you... heres the pics from my build...

theese pictures are almost a year old now ...

build it properly, take your time, research,
do it right and this engine will surprise the heck out of ya..
ive pushed 24psi with a eclipses turbo and injectors right to the top of the dsm 450cc injectors flow before i had bad knock... and thats with the high compression and all...

theese engines are built to take some punishment... but you cant let it run out of fuel... more air more fuel... if you can keep the balance kosher, ill bet this engine could take a 16g turbo to the tune of 25psi on some race gas ... or even a t3-t4 at about 16-18psi...

realistically i dont see it making much over 300hp... and being good for more than 3 runs on a dragstrip...
but you make anywhere near 200 in a capri and your movin bud....

Thanks alot Joe... I've been talking it over with my "car bud", you know, the one with the garage. I kind of tossing it around. I have already invested around $1500 into the car after buying it for $1700, kind of makes me sick to invest in something only I appreciate... Although it sure does make me smile when i cruise it around and all the "Boyz" in my small logger town, with cat-back exhaust systems and nothing more hear my car go run through the gears!! There aint nothing that quite sounds like mine when she is runnin'! I purposly kept it fairly quiet, not really into the loud ass sound of the small little engine, everything I put on was free flow and it breathes good. What about an oil pump?
I was watching married with children and it had a blue na on it!
I just went and looked at a 85 mustang GT 5.0 convertible, that runs and looks to be stock with no body damage. Has 90,000 original and the rag top don't leak... for $600. Gonna be hard not to pick it up today. Now there is something that i could put some money in and get some kind of return.

Hey Joe-What do you use for lifters, ie:lash adjusters?
I bought and installed the ones that I got a lead from someone on the website and it still makes noise, kind of bothers me. Seems to come and go. I do have 5 quarts of full synthetic for the next oil change, this all boils down to the oil pump question on the new block, I guess. Also do you know where to buy the rebuild kit for the turbo? You guys obviously know how to get around the web better than me!

thanks happy new year and be safe

im still running the stock HLAs ... remember theese little engines only hold 3.8 quarts of oil, with a filter change... dont overfill...

as for an oil pump you have a couple options a stock replacement will work fine, and on corksport they have the mazdaspeed pump for the short nosed cranks (wich theese blocks are) little pricey but a very nice racecar touch....

where yours is a 92 you may need to contact russ or someone with some parts and get a harmonic balancer and a keyway for an earlier b6t engine..
to complete your build.. but thats small potatos
for what you will end up with....
