anyway to get a new one or do i have to buy a new headlight motor?

Do you mean the linkage for the headlights? If you need a replacement, email me at Cougar1prod@comcast.net.  I have a few, as well as some headlight motors.

I think he means the plastic cog with all the little teeth on it...

Funny you guys talking about this... I just cleaned my headlight motors out about 1 month ago. Full of black gunk all inside. I was having problems with them before. They wouldnt come up all the time when you flicked the switch. Now after a good clean, they work as new. Used WD40 to clean the lot..
