Mercury Capri Tonneau Cover
« on: February 01, 2021, 08:33:13 AM »

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I've got what may be a stupid question.

With those bubble Mercury Capri Tonneau Covers that Kaminari sells - can you still use the soft top with it, or does it completely negate the use?  I think they look pretty cool, but would hate to lose the functionality of the soft top.

Thanks!

I don't have any experience but it doesn't look like the top could be put up with the tonneau in place.

The bubble top installs on the inside of the black trim ring where the soft top clips into. The soft top-remains operational without any interference.

The Tonneau Cover is a different thing entirely, an OEM option that covers the back seat in addition to the passenger seat, with a zip-out section that covers the driver's seat. It's made of vinyl similar to soft top material, you can find pictures of them around

Thanks Rocketman!  That's great news because I really like the way it looks but didn't want to lose functionality of the soft top.  Guess I'll be picking one up!  :)

Is this the one you have by chance that you can still use the soft top with?
