Hi All
As I have now upgraded my Turbo (VJ11/VJ14) and ECU (Rocketchip) do I or should I be looking at up grading the narrow-band 02 sensor to a wide-band 02 sensor. Is my chipped ECU compatible with a wide-band 02 set up ?
The boost controller for the waste-gate is a simple "T" with a ball bearing and a spring. Is this good enough or should I purchase a waste-gate boost control kit.

The stock ecu will only work with narrow band O2 sensors.

Even a ECU with a Rocketchip fitted ??. Narrow-band only ??

A Rocketchip won't matter, the complex programming code and the circuits required to make a wide-band O2 work are not present in the stock ecu.

The ECU can only read narrowband sensors.
Wideband operates on a different voltage range and scale than narrowband sensors.

Certain wideband controllers have a Narrowband Emulator that you can feed to the stock ECU, derived from the wideband signal. I had one of these systems on the GTXR2.

Generally you run both the narrowband for the ECU and the wideband for your monitoring purposes. You may have to weld a bung into the exhaust for the extra sensor.

The ball-spring style boost controllers have worked perfectly for me on my turbo cars.
