Relocating the Battery to the Trunk?
« on: May 07, 2019, 08:11:55 PM »

Has anyone relocated their battery to the trunk on ANY Capri whether its N/A  or Turbo??  My battery box has rusted to the point where the hold down has pulled straight the metal!  No wonder I have so many electrical problems since the battery is just flopping around inside the engine compartment. Gonna take a good look at it next Sunday. A marine grade battery box is roughly 8 bucks at walmart here and 20 feet of cable from Summit Racing down the street from me including terminal ends are 25 bucks. I am going to give it a shot. Just curious if anyone else has done it.  Terry

I did it on a project Capri many years ago, it's not a problem as long as your wiring to the engine bay is sufficient
