WTB Flywheel for 91 Xr2
« on: April 22, 2019, 07:12:26 PM »

Wanting to get a flywheel that fits a '91 Xr2.

Long story short what we believe happened is that her transmission got flooded with trans fluid where there shouldn't have been fluid and it roasted the clutch. We don't know for sure whether the flywheel is dead, but we haven't gotten the trans off to be able to do a thorough check.  We know for a fact the clutch is dead as it will no longer engage, so the car only moves in neutral with some physical persuasion (so to speak).

I looked around but I can't seem to locate a decently priced flywheel, low on the funds right now and trying to get her back up and running.  Any help locating is appreciated!

Generally the flywheel won't go bad - unless it is cracked (rare)
It's much cheaper to take it to an engine shop and have it resurfaced. There is plenty of meat on them from the factory
