Automatic trans replacement for N/A cars
« on: April 14, 2018, 06:21:42 PM »

I'm going to be replacing the bad auto trans in my '91 N/A soon. Capris are few and far between where I'm at but there are lots of Escorts and Protege cars in the wreckers here. Assuming none of these are a direct replacement which auto trans would be the least hassle to swap in? I don't plan on modding my engine so hp will be stock.

I do have a manual trans with linkage but no clutch/brake pedal assembly. Anyone know what will interchange on that also?

You can come to terms with the scrapyard on shipping on that site, AFAIK.

Would the automatic from an 88-89 Tracer work?
