Oh yes! Because I can tell the rotor diameters from those pics! And the axle spline numbers! EXACTLY the info we need to know!

You might also note that some N/A's were equipped with XR2 brake equipment because it was in surplus in the later years! (93 + 94) Ford knew the Capri was going down and started equipping cars with the parts they had laying around. If you look at parts catalogs they list a 9 3/8" rotor for the N/A and a 10 3/16" rotor for the XR2. They will have corresponding differences in calipers. Check the build date of your 93. You have an N/A equipped with XR2 brakes. This has been documented on other late model N/A's before.

Yes, he can swap the entirety of the XR2 bits over. The XR2 transmission, axles are different. I'm fairly positive the end axle spline count is different making the spindles in the hubs different.

There are a few differences in the harness. There are a few specific connections that are different (the automatic got its own specific harness) On an N/A there are no provisions for knockbox wiring.

Look, I dont know who you are but or what your education base is, but just because your car has something does not mean its the same for every other car out there. Please stop spreading misinformation on this forum, we have been fighting for so long to get good reliable information about these cars.

Hey Rocketman! if you're speaking to me then I stand corrected on the brake issue. My '91 n/a parts car with auto trans does have knock-box connector hanging there and has all other provisions for turbo car. Also not stated in this exchange is that the turbo car has a larger clutch and different gearing. The '94 turbo has a quicker steering rack also.  Gus

Hey Russ!  I'd send some pictures of nice racks but I still don't know how to do that and this is a family forum and it would not be proper.  Gus

I was not referring to you.

I'll have to check my N/A harness. Its been over a year since I went over it but I did not see plugs on for the knockbox. I could be wrong.

I do know that on the ECU side of things there is no wire for the boost cut switch coming into the plug for the ECU. There were two other wires missing as well I think one was ignition/knock related. I ran across this while working on piggyback harnesses for my Megasquirt. Every other nonturbo ECU plug I have worked with has had the same 3 wires missing so I know they are fundamentally different in some way.

Hey Rocketman! I do deeply respect your knowledge, and I am still learning a lot about these cars. It's very unusual for the manufacturer to make several harnesses, as quantities are always in mind and added expense of 2-3 and plugs on a harness is viewed as minimal verses stocking several different harnesses for different options with-in a car model. And "D", the knock-box is on the turbo car only. It temporarily shuts the motor off if it detects the knock of detonation. Again only on the turbo-motor. It sure didn't keep me from burning a piston last year.  Gus

Well Guys! Today I went out and looked at several variations in equipt Capris. The wire harnesses in the engine bay are indeed different for each of the N/A manual, N/A auto, and the XR2. So if you are changing from one variant to another you'll have to change harnesses(preferred) or cut and splice in plugs if needed. What a nightmare!  Gus.
