Only options that I know of are miata cams or regrinds.

Cams should be one of the last things you upgrade. They don't produce a huge increase of power only 10-12hp at most. The best thing you could do would be to get your head ported and polished, and then maybe do cams. Also you wouldn't be able to tune it well or if at all on the stock ECU.

Are you talking a cam for a SOHC B6? Seems kind of pointless on an anemic SOHC head...LOL
Colt cams and Delta cams do Miata cams, and I'm pretty sure they will also regrind any cam you want.

The only cheap intake cam upgrade would be using the 94+ Mazda MX3 exhaust cam and using it as an intake cam. It adds about 10 degrees of duration and the turbo Miata folks seem to like em.
As for the exhaust, the Capri's N/A  B6D cam will shift the power band lower in RPM range than a XR2's. If you swap a Miata cam in, it will move the power band higher into the RPM range.

Thanks chrispoe, I've got a ported and polished head, headers and a Weber carb.  I have a Matt Dickmeyer cam but it looks a little sketchy.  He ground the base circle down and added washers under the lifters and the o'rings are sticking out of the rocker and several of his have failed that I know of.   I don't have it running yet, so was just wondering.
