Wheell covers over lug nuts
« on: July 03, 2017, 12:26:42 PM »

I'm trying to take the covers off. Of the rims from my parts car. The front 2 came off but the back 2 don't wabt to come off. Any tricks so I don't destroy them?

I'm guessing you worked it out by now, but in many cases people glue them in because the clips have long since disappeared. I normally use a few dobs of cheap silicone for this, but who knows what's behind yours!

I did get them. One now has a stress crack but I'm painting them gun metal gray so that's fixable. 3 have all their tabs, 1 is missing about half. Also, one metal ring has separated at the weld. I put the bad ring with the missing tab cover and will repair it before putting it back on. Love the XR2 rims and new tires on my NA.
