Best upgrades for sway bar end links and sway bar bushings

(1/2) > >>

94daves:
I have a 1994 NA.  After reading through several posts and checking Amazon, eBay, Energy Suspension and Prothane websites here's what I've come up with.  I'd like to know if others have made these upgrades with good results.  I'd also like to know if I've messed up any of the part numbers.  Thanks.

Front end links: Energy Suspension 9.8122

Rear end links: Energy Suspension 9.8120

Front sway bar bushings: Prothane 19-1146 (30mm diameter bar)

Rear sway bar bushings: Prothane 19-1127 (14mm or 9/16" diameter bar)

Same thing I've come up with.  I've run across a lot of confusion on bushing and link sizes.  I'm still looking.

Apparently, the moog K700525 from an srt4 would work as well, so you don't have to fiddle with bolts and sleeves and shit. They are also poly.

These are very interesting looking and might work for the front.  According to the specs, they use a sleeve a little over 3/8" while a normal spacer is 5/8" and the bolt is 4 1/4" long and a normal bolt is 3.5".  The rear link is 1" longer. The shape of the bushings may take up that 1/4" difference.  It doesn't show a bolt diameter and the ones I got from Russ were 3/8" diameter and the stock bolt is 5/16".  The guide end of the bushing was corresponding bigger and wouldn't seat in the bar without drilling out the hole.  So far I've pulled the trigger on that mod as the Energy Suspension bushings have the correct diameter bolts.  I'm guessing the washers go between the various metal parts and the urethane parts.  But there are no sleeves shown and only one long bolt and a short screw of unknown use, wonder what you'll be getting and how to use it.

Yeah, apparently my factory ones had like a 12 millimeter half sleeve in the middle of the bolt, which was odd.
