How to change out Front Axles?

I've had my Capri since October of last year and absolutely love this car. I firmly believe it can lay anything in its path to waste.. (with enough Upgrades) I recently dusted a BWM E30. However, in the process of ripping mad burnouts... I broke my Passenger side Axle and proceeded to look stupid in front of ladies.. (and gentlemen) I've tried to take them off when I put a new Clutch in, but failed... So I took out the housing with the axles. (ps. It was a b*tch)
Now, time has come where I must take this axle out. I've tried anything from Pickaxes to Chains to dual sledgehammers, and it has moved about a 1/4 inch. Am I missing something or is it just fubar?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxMFKTwe6hA gives a basic idea on how to do it. Also don't do burnouts and stuff in your Capri the transmissions suck and will explode.

I was wanting more of a step by step tutorial. Does anyone have experience with getting a capri Axle out? This one is stuck. I'd love a written

That basically is a step by step tutorial theres nothing different that you have do to get it out of a Capri.

Zombie is referencing removing a stuck axle.  I've had to buy two transmissions due to being unable to remove stuck axles.  Local transmission shops couldn't do any better.

im going to try attaching a slide Hammer to some vice-grips and use shock force. I will return with results tomorrow. Wish me luck guys!!

Luck wished, but please refrain from burnouts in these cars, otherwise youll end up with a dead trans. What I would recommend would be getting a LSD, so that if you do; do a burnout it wont blow your trans to hell.

How much did you end up paying for one??

Here in NC, $400 was the best I could find.  WV $300, and it turned out to be bad.  Really lucked out at one from a Forum member for $100 with only 100K.  It's been in a year now and except for a leak at the shifter rod, it's going great.
