i was wondering if anyone can give me advice on how to get the old oxygen sensor out ?! Holy moly !  Is it just an open end wrench, or a very deep well socket ?  thanks for any advice

Go to Auto Zone and get the slotted O2 socket and a can of pb blaster. Spray it and let it sit. When using the socket you back the sensor out a few turns then turn it back in...then repeat. This cleans the threads so they don't jam up with the crap on the threads in the manifold.  Pretty simple.
