Maybe we can plant the seeds for a Capri meet or at least meet some more enthusiasts.

Got the Capri back together today, finally after all these years I finally figured out what hose was leaking. It was one of the main hoses going to the head from the ISC Valve to the head, it was the one that runs underneath to directly to the head. Figures why it was so hard to find lol. Either way spent all yesterday and today getting that out, and putting a new one in, all in all simple-ish just a giant PITA, especially without access to my works lift. Had the smallest slit in the house I've ever seen, but I guess it was enough to make me lose a lot of coolant lol. What's good is I always kept her full, and made sure she never overheated.

While I had the engine apart in 2019: I replaced the head gasket, the timing belt, rebuilt the distributor, replaced upper radiator hose, coolant temp sensor, oil pump(upgraded), valve cover gasket, new platinum sparkplugs.

From March 2020 to today the car had been sitting due to being stuck in quarantine, and lack of being able to get parts, back a few months I got my vaccine, and finally was able to start going back out so I could work on my car, soon Ill return to work!

Things that ive noticed that need to be done:
new right hand axel(I have it haven't had access to a lift to put it in)
oil pan seal is bad
front main seal is bad
A/C system has a leak somewhere(leaks very fast wont hold Freon for more then a day, its also been upgraded to the new stuff by previous owner)
Big Brakes need to be put on(currently missing the rotors, have everything else, thanks to Rocketman I was able to get the hubs milled(huge thanks!!))
Interior needs put in(just tore out headliner in the hardtop as it was sagging really bad ill replace that with new black headliner)
brackets need to be made for my seats, and I need to source a new right hand seat bracket.

After that's all said and done, she should be off to paint, and then after that ill work on engine swapping her!

I have some secret stuff, I'm saving for later once I have the engine more complete, and paint work done. I'm very excited to show everyone, but now's not the time to show it off lol!

greywolf27030:
Glad to see you're back with us.

WashiestSnake:
Spent today putting the new carpet in, ended getting rained on while in the middle of cutting it, so only have one seat in the car. I feel the carpets going to end up being a bitch, but ill do my best, and if I cant get it ill just order a new one and get a professional to do it later. Tomorrow ill keep knocking away at it. I've told myself I can't go back to work till I'm done, as I've had all these car parts sitting in a shed without time to install.  I've figured now's the best time to do it with being out of work.

Have a buddy working on making a bracket for my passenger seat so I can bolt my new seat up to it.
