Curently waiting on Russ to finish moving so he can deliver the GTX, once I have it ill be working on it in the little spare time I have. Im kinda waiting and just turboing the BP instead of the B6, that would give me time to sort out issues with the GTX transmission.

Hey Gaz im intrested in picking up a exhaust soon.
Id like 2.5inch downpipe back, with high flow cat, no resonator. You choose the muffler, im looking for something that sounds like a old rally car with nots of pops and crackles.  If you could id like it to have tips exiting out the side by the rear wheel.
PM me a price, and I should be able to work something out soon.

Just a heads up, this comes more from the tuning than it does from the exhaust itself

That might do it too :)

From what I understand it's from aggressive spark timing & fueling.
I believe they intentionally tune certain cars these days to have a burble.
Shouldn't be hard to do the same with a standalone ECU

here's some external discussion:
https://forum.miata.net/vb/archive/index.php/t-208966.html
http://www.miataturbo.net/ecus-tuning-54/adding-little-burble-exhaust-under-decel-using-fuel-afr-target-timing-74296/

They mention fuel cut on decel. The XR2 ecu cuts fuel on decel until it hits 2500 rpm or so, when it re-engages. This can be easily observed with a WBO2 system

Myriad of other discussion on a google search, on how to get the 'burble'

Alrighty, I'll be starting to work on these starting June first. I ask that if you has stated that you want one built, that you could send a request to my email so I can track and bill easier. Garretrombal@gmail.com

Gaz - I'm still interested in a daily driver version for a 1994 NA.  What does the end tip look like?  I'd like it to look nice (shiny, I guess) as opposed to something that will rust in a year.  I'm not interested in buying a chrome exhaust tip from Walker to add on to it.  What could you do for appearance?

Perfect.  I assume a 2.25" ID inlet.   Therefore part #35122 or #35163, as long as you could weld it on at the correct spot to it sticks out at the stock position (not too short and not too long).

Gaz.... what is the makeup of that kit and cost?   I am in eastern NC, zip 28590, if you can give me a shipping estimate as well.  I have a 92 xr2 that I bought a few months ago.  I have not done anything to it yet, but it needs brakes, paint job and exhaust, so I may consider what you are doing.  I really don't plan to do much else to it except get a rocketchip from Matt and open the boost a little.

thanks....John

I'll be putting together prices more accurately over the next week, so stay tuned for that.

All of the kits I've built so far are aluminized steel with mild steel flanges, which will last a while as long as you don't drive in the winter and was your undercarriage periodically. It's mostly a cost thing, as stainless costs so much more than standard aluminized.

As far as turning up the boost, our stock wastegate ports are too small to effectively control boost after exhaust modification, so I'd put that on your to-do list before opening up the exhaust on that bad boy.

I understand you concern on boost control.  I know some of the folks on the facebook group are advocates for not going larger than 2" if you are wanting to bump up the boost and keep it simple.   Simple is where I am at for my age these days.   I am in eastern NC, so winters are not harsh and we only drive our capris on nice days.

I could certainly build you a 2" kit if you like, I would recommend doing standard compression bent exhaust at that point, as it adds a smaller percentage of flow reduction than its mandrel counterpart.
