Rear Suspension
« on: October 31, 2016, 01:41:38 PM »

Need some guidance/assistance...I recently bought my third 1993 Capri...this is my first XR2.  There is a bumping, thumping, clunking noise in the rear going over the slightest of bumps.  I replaced the sway/stabilizer bar bushings and end links.  I am uncertain how tight to tighten the end link bolts.  Is the sway bar suppose to mounted up against the part the end link bolt travels through?  Any information would be GREATLY appreciated.  Thank you.

One bush outside the swaybar. two in between with a spacer, then one bush on the other side

Check your upper strut mounts too, the rubber separates from the mount and will flop around making a racket

Try to inspect the rear wheel bearings also if they are bad or not.
