Capri Meets Ford, Cologne Germany, May 29, 2015
« on: June 03, 2015, 04:04:21 PM »

Last Friday, there was a meeting of the Dutch and German Mercury Capri owners. the meeting was held at the Ford Köln AG factory grounds alongside the Rhine river. a total of 19 Capris were present. as Cologne is not THAT far away from where i live i decided to go.

some pictures:

(the one with the yellow plate is mine. i have permission to have the license plates this small, if i were to use the official width, i would not be able to unlock the trunk, because the official plate (being 20" wide) would cover the lock, and doesn't fit between the light units)

after we parked our Capris in the designated area, we visited the Classic Collection of the Ford factory, where some nice (old) Fords were displayed. the Fords on display were all road worthy and are driven on a regular basis.

after visiting the Classic Collection there was a guided tour through the factory and we were shown how the Ford Fiësta:

was being made. very interesting to see!
