Needless to say this came out of my old fuel filter that wasn't changed for 156,000 miles. Its a cheap thing to do guys, don't over look it.

I noticed many of the Capris left have fairly low mileage for their age. That means many done some sitting or spent time in storage. Yes change that fuel filter. Many manufacturers recommend every 30,000 miles but I would do it yearly. Don't forget what's in the filter comes from the tank whether it's bad gas or tank condensation or deterioration. Ethanol in gas tends to loosen any deposits in the tank which ends up in the filter.

Those that store their Capri I would do so with a completely empty fuel system. A full tank of gas with fuel stabilizer added is second best. Run the car long enough to get the stabilizer to the injectors. I guess it's best to say don't store a car with a partial tank as it's prone to condensate.

It's in the engine bay mounted on the firewall. Unclamp it, slip off the fuel lines, put in a new filter.

De -pressurize the fuel system first by unplugging the fuel pump under the back seat, and starting/running the car til it dies (should be quick)
