Hard to tell when they don't give the dimensions. They are about 5" long. I would be leery over a stud since they are a bolt. Notice the stud is skinnier in the middle where as the bolt is as wide as the threads.

I wonder why they include lubricant as it will change the real torque value if you use it.

I had success reusing my old bolts. Maintain bolt orientation and go to max torque.

I started a thread with the same questions. I special ordered some from AAP and they were too short. After a dead end search and someone else explaining you can get away with reusing the old ones I gave it a try. So far about 500 miles and no problems. I'll torque in about another 500 miles just to be sure.

They send the lube to put on the treads to get the true torque, any friction throws the torque numbers off.

Yes the ARP head studs for the 1.6 Miata will work, it's exactly the same engine block & head

Yes and no, it's a debated topic. Basically I go by the manufacturer's manual. Some will say use a few drops of oil, some will say nothing. It's just like torque sequence, go by the book.

A general rule of thumb is to chase your threads and use new bolts. Friction then should be at a minimum. Along the same thoughts lubricant can reduce friction torquing it can also reduce holding friction.

Let us know how your order goes. Advance sure has it wrong. I crossed referenced it with a Miata and they list the same wrong bolts. I believe they were Victor Reinz. If it's another brand then you stand a good chance of them being correct.

ARP has very specific instructions for their bolts. They're very different than stock head bolts. Studs respond quite differently - so their instructions reflect that. The pattern is the same, but torque #'s and steps through the pattern are different

So what I get from all this, any of these head bolts would be fine to use on my 91 capri?

You need a set for the 1.6L, 1994 miata used the 1.8L.
Though they may be the same between the two, stick with the listing for the 1.6L (89-93 IIRC)

Thanks for getting back to me about the bolts. So what your saying is that I need the  1991 MAZDA MX-5 MIATA 1.6L L4 Head Bolts.
Seem the part number is B66010135A either way.

I'm curious though, what would you use in your engine? Studs or bolts?

The studs are obviously stronger and do a good job, but unless your gonna be running a lot of boost and making heaps more than stock power I would not bother.  I have the arp studs in my motor but it's got a giant turbo and sees up to 30psi of boost. Stock or close to stock upgrades definitely don't need em.

Can confirm that the head studs are the same.

Late to the party here, but I got a set of the ARP studs that Flyin' Miata makes for the 1.6L Miata. They weren't super back-ordered like all the other ARP fasteners. A little pricier, but not too much. They'll work, too, if you're looking for something a little stronger than a head bolt.
