Greetings friends,

I thought long and hard about taking it out for a spin today, the weather was sunny and mid-thirties...but I didn't....sigh.

I also thought about the stabilizer bar issues that need addressing, one broken bolt in one of the bushing mounts. And, whose has, good, reasonably priced stabilizer bar link kits? I did not see any on Rock Auto.

Maybe I will get it out tomorrow, it's supposed to be warmer...but I wanted to get one drive in during January. Ah, well.

Cheers all!

You'll probably have to get universal kits and make them fit. I know the heater isn't much, but go for a drive anyway.

Greetings Friends!

Well, today, I took Jack's advice and went for a drive. It had to be top-up because my "Far Better Half By Far" wanted to go along for the ride. It would otherwise have been just, just warm enough to go topless with gloves, a scarf, and warm coat.

We had a nice drive, a 35 mile round trip to the post office to mail bills. These were the first miles of 2021.

And, Jack, shortly posting some follow-up about stabilizer bar links in the proper parts discussion area.

Cheers all!

Howdy all!
My Capri has been "enjoying" itself on winter duty. Here in Ohio we've been getting some snow and ice as of recent, and the old girl has been taking real well to it. Never thought it was possible to drift a Capri until a couple days ago, lots of fun! Honestly a good car to drive in the snow, minus the lack of ABS... :D, but that just adds to the experience.
For anyone wondering, my Capri isn't the prettiest, and is prerusted, so the salt doesn't scare me a whole lot. I just wash it really good after winter is over to get rid of the road salt, and she looks as good as a rusted Capri can be!

Gentlemen!

While after some bits and pieces, I met a fellow clearing out his stock of parts.
I grabbed a box of various mounts, and spent today degreasing them getting ready for paint.

A set of seat rails to replace mine which are looking the worse for wear.
Wire-brushed and painted.

Doing some small projects inside before I get “Freddy” out of hibernation.

Cheers
James.

Went on a seven hour ride though the mountains yesterday.  Spring is here, sorta.

Repaired a flapper door lever and installed it, can control the H/V/AC temperature again, just in time to go to the beach.

Gee Jack,

We're glad you were able to make the stop safely!

So, does warped rotors lead to one of those "I might as well while I'm there..." repairs?

For my part, I was going to go for a spin here in the mountains.

Instead, I patted my Capri as I covered my tractor...for a forecast of another ten inches of snow.

Ah...well.

Maybe this weekend!

Cheers all,

Steve

I think so, pads, rotors, calipers and SS brake lines. I was returning from Florida, spent days driving around getting a sunburn.

Completed the install of a new red top on my '91 and put my Roo decals on just for good measure. Then went for a long ride in the country.

Ugh....Wife came home in her 94 NA spewing antifreeze and dead passenger side regulator.  Tiny coolant hose under the distributor blew. Replaced and running again....with a window stuck down.  It only a sunny day car...so no worries.  I have a spare passenger window regulation built by you know who, so that will be my next rainy day job.
