Nice.  How big a deal was the white faced gauges?  Is this the eBay decals?  Like the tail lights also. May have to come to Asheville and get acquainted.

Hi Jack,

They are the screened decals and were EZ PZ to do. I would just stress to make sure they were put on straight. I used my heat gun a bit for even better fit and finish. Sounds good about a mini "mini" meet. We have a "Cars N' Coffee" meet as well in Asheville every 2nd Saturday. It would be cool to show up with a few XR2's. Any or all of that I would be up for....

Cars and Coffee sounds cool.  Come over, spend the night and see cars for breakfast.

Could also take a drive somewhere that the road gets twisty....Was going to go up to the Dragon's Tail this fall, but I've been doing so much maintenance along with a swap into another car, that Iv'e lost track of time it seems. I'd be up for any or all of that. Perhaps we can coax others.

There has been talk of an NC meet for a while now and was hoping others might take notice.  Asheville is a little west, but Festiva Madness has people coming from Arizona.  Anybody interested?

Sorry, I misunderstood.  I was at Madness.  I thought you meant a Capri meet.  If you view the exit video after the show you will see my XR2.  I posted the video on the FB page.

Cool and My bad Jack. I thought you meant meeting up there in Raleigh as I've heard people say we should do something with the Festiva guys. I think another meet for us is a GREAT idea. I wanted to come to Indiana but will have to make next year.

The Festiva guys are really active and there were over 50 cars there.  Florida, Missouri, and Maine were the long distance guys this time.  John Glenn was there, he's a combination guy.  That was the reason I was talking to them about a combination meet.

I like that idea.....I'd be open to meeting up with any and ALL that help keep this platform alive.

On another note, I am starting to put together my Ground Control Coilovers I sourced recently with the NOS Tokico HP's I was lucky enough to find on Ebay recently. I'm starting by grinding off the strut collar, so that I can use Heavy Duty shaft collars to anchor the adjustable collar. Pics to come, as this can be done with just about any application and provides an honest to God REAL coilover option for us. I also want to take my OEM struts and find Koni Yellow inserts to have valved for our cars as a solution in the coming months.

Started redoing brakes all around with new brake lines and master cylinder on the 92 XR2. Will do new struts and lowering springs as well while it is up on jack stands.
