Finally got my XR2 back from the shop.  Leak fixed and charged up.  Will blow cold air, but you have to ground the white PCM wire in the A/C relay manually.  Now to troubleshoot that problem.  $200 so far.

I replaced the weak trunk lifts with new ones from Amazon. Total cost was $18 for the set. Tuff Support brand for anyone looking.

Learned all about swapping soft tops.  Took my N/A decent top, good frame and swapped it for the OE top on my ZR2.  Problem is the top is a 1/4" to short and the alignment peg won't go into the front socket.  Not sure what I'll do about that.

Took my XR2 to Festiva Madness.  Everyone wanted my car.......for the engine....lol.  Great turnout, over 50 Festivas and Aspires from Maine to Florida to Kansas, Missouri and North Dakota.  Big day.  Talked to them about letting in Capris. About a third of them had Capri drive trains and Brad Hazard was there with a B6T swap that he finished Thursday night.

Took a Rug Doctor the the carpet and seats. It desperately needed it, especially after I lost an entire cup of coffee to the backseat carpet.  ::) ;D Seriously... those cup holders only work while parked.

Just bolted this up lower chin spolier up today, along with tinting the original Hella fog lamps with yellow film and a heat gun. I took some measurements of my Capri XR2 I bought a few weeks ago and the 90-99 SW20 Toyota MR2 and found that their (the two cars) front chin spoilers basically bolt up, with only needing to be trimmed about 2 inches on either side of the vehicle, where it meets the fender wheel well. For those wondering, it is what was known as "CX Style", if you were searching for it online. Not sure if this is “old hat” knowledge, but I thought I’d pass it on, since it provides more cooling and perhaps a bit more down force. Aesthetically, it looks MADE for the car. I plan on painting the top half of it to match the car and the weathered black bumper trim to make it more blended in the coming weeks. As you can see it "blends" nicely with the lines of the fog lights and almost could have been a factory option it fits with so little modification.

Guys,  it's on Ebay for 99.99 shipped to the lower 48 or I would not have bought it. I'd like to see the one that is 270, but it'd better be an original CX for that kinda money in my opinion. One of the most appealing parts of doing this mod is that it's a reasonable piece. Let me know if you want the Ebay link or the seller and I can message you with it, as I wasn't sure what the policy is on posting links to for sale items that weren't recognized vendors being new to the site. All that being said, I have more surprises up my sleeve that would involve using another famous japanese car's front bumper that will substantially update the front end of our cars this winter since I plan on either respraying my XR2 Cardinal OR Ferrari Rosso Red in the spring. Much more to come. Next on my list is grafting/welding in a Porsche Boxster 4pt roll bar like I did with the RX7 FC3S LS1 'vert I swapped a few years ago. I have already sourced and bought it, since I had my FC3S RX7 to measure and it's very close. I will also be modifying a Kamimari roadster top, I recently bought to work with it, although it'll render the rear seat pretty much useless.....but it pretty much is anyway. Anyway, thanks for the feedback. Time to help breathe some life back into this forum.

I'll second trying to up the interest on the forum.  These are really cool cars and it's a shame there isn't more interest.  One of the group who put on Festiva Madness mentioned allowing Capri's in since fully a third of the cars there had Capri power....lol

Well, I should say the Tokico HP "Blues" from the BF-323. I found them on Ebay as NOS with a seller named ShopEddies. I paid a premium for them and bought them as single Buy It Now auctions but it was worth it. They are the "fire orange" color I've seen on pics of 323's, instead of the regular Blue HP. I picked up new KYB strut mounts as well from Rock Auto. Right place at the right time I guess. I will post pics of them when I get ready to mount them. Need to pick up some camber bolts. Was trying to locate some Cusco pillow ball mounts for the BF, but they are in Japan if available at all. I have a set of front pillow ball mounts I am looking to adapt from my 2ZZ Celica....perhaps.
