Replaced my failed power window regulator with a used one I had bought, and shipped the bad one to James Whitt to get it repaired.  Used one didn't work, so window up until I get the other one back.

Switched to the 91 na 85 amp alternator, well snapping two of my downpipe studs in the process. also incidentally set the record for farthest distance on a 14 millimeter socket thrown by hand.

New struts all around, new strut bellows, new tires, and re-routed the front mount inter-cooler piping. New coat of Plasti-dip this weekend!

Removed that beeping blue box and the flashing yellow bag light, installed a passenger grab bar and a new (to me) clock.  Problem is there are already two crystals bad in the clock and when I bought the grab bar, I got left and right backs and no fronts.  Anybody got any fronts they'd sell?

Got 'er up on stands and started removing stuff to get the turbo and intercooler off. Gonna go ahead and do the fuel filter, cap and rotor while I'm at it, plus do a new set of plugs. Planning on having the turbo out to the shop on Monday, hopefully back as a brand-new hybrid by the end of the week. Can't wait!

Upgraded numerous lights to leds and installed new rear brake lines and broke every bolt that held them in place in the process..LOL
So I redrilled/tapped them and upgraded to stainless hardware.

Also ordered a canvas top and started writing a BP swap guide.

Scored two top latches, a headlight switch and a fog light switch for $20 at yard in WV.  Great day.

Replaced my passenger regulator with one I got from a member in Indiana and it still won't work.  Guess I'll have to start troubleshooting.

Got her registered, filled her up with 98 octane petrol and went for a long drive... awesome.

Sound system is great, and with an amp it'll be even more awesome at high speeds with the top down.

Scored at my favorite WVA salvage yard.  Passenger window regulator, driver door panel, both map pockets and windshield washer bottle, cap and pump for $20.  Not a bad day.

Over Labor Day weekend I towed my disassembled Capri 400 miles down to where I used to live, held a build party with a bunch of friends to get the new turbo on and the car back together, got everything retuned and then drove it back 400 miles. So it went from missing a goodly part of the engine (including several studs on the exhaust manifold and turbo downpipe) as well as the front bumper and some other assorted nasty to being a functioning car again in no time!

Oh, and my Nissan buddies let me hang out with them too: http://i.imgur.com/8xVOFom.jpg

What was great to me was that the car's actually been sitting in disrepair in my driveway since May... yet the only lasting damage is failing clearcoat on the plastic rear bumper. The moment we had the engine together and hooked the battery back up it fired up without a single problem and purred. Mazda sure does make a great motor!

Next up is replacing wheel bearings, fixing the headlight motors (or rather, just the passenger side motor), and repairing the bulb sockets for the front 'driving lights' that finally failed. I think that'll do it until I can get my hands on a strut bar brace and new intake and exhaust!
