Not today, but last Sunday I got all three started (2 in garage and one outside)  All had dead batteries.  In the spring I plan on figuring out which one is in the best shape and getting it on the road again.  Barb's 93 had a transmission leak (automatic) White 91 runs real rough and needs brakes Red 91 (newest purchase) had fresh coat of paint and seems to run ok but it came with a hard top and we haven't had it off yet so don't know condition of soft top.  It  does have a winking (non-closing headlite)  So we'll see what happens when it finally gets warm here in NEPA.

Here in Wisconsin, 50+ degrees is top down weather! :)
Below 50, it's in the garage and project time. ;D

I read somewhere, maybe when I got my new top or in the owners manual? it said not to let the top down below 60°.  The plastic window is not as flexible then. But if it's in a warm garage who cares? 😊

I got tickled last night. I pulled up to a red light and a car with two little boys in it pulled up beside me. I turned my headlights on and the one boy shook his brother and pointed. So I cycled the lights as they looked with their mouths dropped. I guess the younger generations never seen pop up lights. It was a cool moment and one reason to preserve this car. Come to think of it you don't see pop up lights anymore for the aerodynamics. The last one I had was a 91 Firebird.

I have been using Plexus Spray Cleaner on my virtually pristine rear plastic window for some time now with good results

Question:  What type of Vinyl Convertible Top Cleaner/Protectant do others use?

I have been using RaggTopp, but not happy with the cleaner
Meguiar's M39 have been recommended

     Thank You

Well today I tried out my plasti-dipping skills.  My hood was look a bit worse for wear.  The paint was flaking and cracking so I gave it a quick sand to knock down the ridges and high spots, then covered it in matte black dip.  I think it looks much better with a black bonnet than all the faded, nasty red paint.

They've actually been banned on new cars for some time now in the name of "pedestrian safety" So you'll never see 'em again :/

Kewl, got any pics?  I was wondering about installing a double din touch screen.  How big a deal was the installation?

I didn't feel like removing dash so I cut the factory bracket with a long saws all blade the had to cut and shave the factory bezel to make it look right. It was not too bad just time consuming to get it to my like.

I pulled the ignition module in mine... In -30 windchills, not fun even for such a simple thing but I miss driving it, too much fun in the winter.

I have been working on my 92 fixing things that my father inlaw and I either couldn't afford to do or just didn't have time to do. I started off with a nice new set of door handles from Roo-sport. The handles broke off one winter storm about 5 years ago and impossible to find around here. Next is CV axles and lower ball joints. at 111000 miles and 23 years they are starting to ware out. I'm also doing a timing belt and a thermostat. After that I'm putting a new radio in it and cleaning it up real good so I can put the car into our local car show. I'm hoping to find a cheap used headlight control module as well. I'll also eventually get to fixing my cruise control, replace the windshield, and maybe get it repainted. My father inlaw was just going junk the car but after he died I decided to fix up my/ his old car.

Crankshaft23, the rotary switches in the headlight motors usually cause most of the problems with them, not the headlight control module. Try cleaning them first - there's some good info in some of the threads here.

That double DIN is nice.
