Scored an XR2 VAF, airbox and distributor with a good vacumn advance at Pull-A-Part to go with the turbo and manifold and ECM I got earlier.  Also got the weatherstrip that goes across the windshield, gonna get my white car in problems fixed.

Met up with Jack (Greywolf) this past weekend at the Pick N' Pull and he shared his cache from the XR2 Capri with me which I thought was extremely cool. I scored a set of  slightly damaged tail lights (won't matter) so I don't have to sacrifice my OEM's. Also scored some various interior pieces and a MINT headlight motors that I will be refurbishing and selling with a year warranty if anyone is looking for one that we know. Got a greasy set of wires that I thought were big diameter "knock off's" till I got em home and cleaned them up. MSD Magnecor 8.5 mm wires and RED....Just like my car ;-) Going back this weekend. The second pic, is of a strut bar that I customized for our car this past weekend, that I am considering to reproduce for Capri owners, as an AFFORDABLE strut bar, since I think most have been sold of the stock that Roo-Sport had at one time from what I gather. It's pretty solid and I liked the feel (seat of pants) on the highway the most as I was able to get quite a bit more feedback from the suspension. Provides some much needed stability between the strut towers. THIS is what I did today......

I installed a set of Sparco pedals today and an old Momo "Dead Pedal" that I had lying around....Should provide for some good "Heel-Toe" downshifting if you notice the spacing of the gas and brake pedal is now much closer and the tab on the left of the "go" pedal is even closer which helps facilitate the technique. Keeping steady pressure is the hardest part of heel-toe'ing for me but I am pumped to actually have some decently spaced pedals for a change.

I started cleaning the engine compartment and man is it hot out there.  I used Gunk foamy and liquid squirt bottle.  The liquid squirt bottle works much better than the foamy.  Not much experience doing it this way, normally pull the engine and steam clean it.  Can't bend over long so this will be a long process...lol

My blower motor just went out so ill be putting the 94 dash in along with a new motor. Ive heard the A/C system is different do you guys believe i can swap the 91 parts on the newer style dash?

Washiestsnake, check the blower motor resistor. They are very prone to corrosion failure and is usually the cause of an inop blower motor.

Put in some bumper pads on the clutches on both cars so the cruise control would work properly.  Also install a passenger side door pull reinforced with JB Weld.  I am missing the cover, so if anyone has a spare, I'd be interested.

Hood latch was hanging by literally one strand of The Wire. Took the whole assembly out let it dangle, install Hood pins, well push button Hood retainers I should say.

Plugs, wires, rotor and cap for the red car.  Set of Mercedes SLK seats for the white car.

I am doing the same thing at some point and already have them. For now....I was able to "fix" the latch
