GI: Valet Mode Chip
« on: August 21, 2014, 04:07:25 PM »

I've been toying with a few things lately, and have developed a way to make a "Valet Mode" chip. This would be activated by a hidden switch or key, and change the engine's rev limit to something very low like 1500 or 2000 RPM so you can still move the car, but can't go crazy with it. Before I go any further with it, I'd like to see if this is something folks would actually be interested in. Price would run around $200 and I would have to have your ECU to install the hardware. You'd only need to add the switch somewhere and one wire to a chassis ground. If you have an XR2 with a Rocketchip already installed yes it can work with that.

This would work for any Capri, turbo or nonturbo.
Need to know if anyone is seriously interested before I proceed.
