Well I hate to do it but I'm gonna stick the b6 back in for the time being.

I got the b6t together for the most part, very little needed to finish it just stuff like plug wires and whatnot. Got a hole cut in my firewall and spliced 4 of the 9 wires needed to do the swap, i lack the two fuel pump wires and the under hood wiring.

Basically it's comming down to a deadline thing and i've got other stuff i have to get done. Everybody i know is after me to 'do this' and 'that' then wait 'I got another job for you..' So my personal projects have to take a back seat. I found out I need the fuel pump relay and i think the main relay? Two that plug in right beside the ecu.... Anyway ill just unplug the harness socket, pull the b6t harness and stick the old engine back in for now.

I said to myself that if this takes more than 3 weeks ill scrap the car how it sits, and i will if it isnt running next wednesday(april 2nd). I'm not having any more long term projects with everything else that needs done. Its logical and responsible IMO. Doesnt mean I'm abandoning this just putting it off till next month or the month after when everybody else chills out and i make all the money i can off doing other peoples side projects they've been dreaming of all winter long for them... That money is for my 'r888 fund and possibly coilovers' which im 2/3 the way to a set of r888's just from the last two weeks.

Who knows i might even be able to come up with enough $$ from side jobs to get a spec stg2 clutch for my b6/aspire tranny back up combo.

PM me with what parts you need... I probably have them.
You can do it! But it may be better to wait for a G swap. :D

You going to be at the Spring Fling?

I'm kinda doubting it. I'm already scheduled to have two weeks off that month, may 5th-16th, for some schooling down in Hunnington WV, so I highly doubt they'll give me any extra days off. Who knows tho haha if he tries to pull a trick on me like he did on festiva madness weekend last year I may well be unemployed may 3rd. This schooling is worth more than this job I've been working the last 4 years. If you have the relays I'll pay you for parts+shipping. Rob is supposed to ship those to me but he hasn't said anything about it since last tuesday so I don't know if maybe he couldn't find them or what.

B6 is back in and running. I finished it up today.

I think its just cause the car sat for a week without moving but the click in the transmission is still there and way more pronounced. Also felt the clutch slipping pretty bad starting at 3,500 on up.

I might just go ahead and do the g swap, as much as i really dont want to.

I'll be more prepared next time tho, have the engine & trans bolted together ready to drop in before I even pulk the motor. Half the wiring is done so hopefully I'll have it all mapped out and ready to run. We'll find out soon.

One good thing about it, i'll be able to get a compression check and make sure the new valve stem seals cleared up all the smoke it was putting out, it was just a little on start up and whenever i would be cruising then put the hammer down.

I suppose i could try to use the rio axles since the g trans has an mfactory diff. That should cut down alot of the torque steer by itself. If that doesnt pan out i'll have to dig up a capri jackshaft.

Gonna cost alot more than i thought I really didnt want to get this deep in it all at once but whatever. I'll have at least a thousand in swapping it by the time its all said and done now.

Where'd you find a G-series with an MFactory in it? I heard running the Rio passenger axle isn't *that* bad but I don't have first hand experience with that.

Did you buy a complete swap or piece it together? They always cost more when done in pieces

You won't regret going to the G trans though

I built it awhile back, the price for an mfactory is X amount but there's also US Customs charges associated with it that you get charged with on delivery. IIrc it was closer to $900 just for the diff to get to my house. 350 for a 90k JY tranny, alot of 4 letter words later and its been chillin waiting for me to use it.

Anyway, i went to Karl's house this morning and helped him swap engines, on the way home a newer dodge charger was screwing with me, drove by about a foot wide off my car and acted like he wanted to race...

I broke an axle -.- luckily I was only about 40 mins out and my buddys house was between me and there, he towed the car home for me. Didnt even want the money I gave him just gas money lol.

So the damage is done, and I see absolutely no point in replacing the axle and putting it all back together like stock... Especially since I've already got these super cool goodies kickin around that need a home. The aspire in the side yard is a out to get stripped to the shell. I'll use the rio knuces and struts that are on it(already cut) and probably the 14" alloys I recently purchased. Guess its time to get some work done.. Need more hours in a day :(

Alright so I got the rio knuckles in, aspire brakes, rio axles, g series tranny, b6t motor in, got everything wired up(i thought, even brought in a specialist to help,) finally got my main power relay in the mail, and it's got no spark!

I tried a bunch of stuff and couldn't get it to start sparking, basically its everything capri, coil and everything. The main blue wire was spliced to the main white power wire on the festy, or maybe thats the other way around. ran 2 fuel pump wires, and spliced in the ignition wires.

Any ideas why I wouldn't have spark? I checked and cleaned almost all the grounds except the hard to get to ones, they should be good anyway.
