sloppy shifter fix
« on: April 25, 2010, 09:08:00 AM »

My first project on the new-to-me XR2. My shifter had lots of play so I decided this would be a good rainy day project.

Climbed underneath to find the bushing was pretty well shot and not existent. Unbolted it and was able to fabricate a bushing from a piece of rubber hydraulic hose. Used a couple of washer on either side, put the bolt back on and now have a nice tight shifter with no play.
