I recently got an 1991 capri. Not too special but I've really been liking it. It iced up here and I caught a curb at about 10mph. I bent the control arm... (I think thats the name for the A shaped bracket the sway bar and wheel bolts to) I think I probably bent the sway bar too. Ofcourse, parts stores and even the dealer don't carry replacement parts so I'm stuck hunting the bone yards. Am I stuck digging for a capri, what else can fit. Also, is there a difference between the xr2's a arms. I know the swaybars are heavier... I apriciate any help.

i believe control arms are the same with:

1988-1990 Mercury Tracer
1986-1989 Mazda 323
1991-1994 Capri incl. XR2

hope that helps the search a bit

i did something very similar.. the body shop got one from the used parts network most shops use for only 85

I saw a factory front sway bar on ebay. I'm not sure of the price or how long it will be there though.
